Nearly thirty years after its debut, Fendi returned to the Baguette’s original model code: 26424.

Presented during Milano Design Week 2026, the Baguette 26424 Re-Edition comprises 20 designs created for Fendi’s Fall/Winter 2026–27 collection under Chief Creative Officer Maria Grazia Chiuri. Rather than reproducing one historical version, the series uses the house’s archives to reopen the bag in different colours, materials and techniques.
The Baguette was designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi and introduced in 1997. Its short strap allowed it to sit closely beneath the arm, giving the bag the name of the French bread carried in the same way. Small, embellished and repeatedly transformed, it appeared against the restrained minimalism that defined much of the decade.
The 2026 re-editions return to the first Baguette model code while giving its construction a softer form and placing greater emphasis on how it sits under the arm. Archival references appear across beading, embroidery, animal patterns and woven surfaces, while each bag carries a Re-Edition metal tag and comes in a wooden box resembling an art shipping crate.
